Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kisame Hoshigaki!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoshigaki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hoshigaki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rio works his way to full guard. Good work.
Rio might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rio is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rio in particular looking to stall.

That was a close round but I would say that Arnaud Rio will probably get the nod.

Hoshigaki's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hoshigaki can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rio sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
