Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Big Hurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Braden Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turk has chosen Status Quo - Deeper and Down as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Big Hurt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Braden Turk!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurt throws a leg kick but Turk sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Turk is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hurt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Turk.
Turk avoids the head kick by Hurt.
Hurt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Turk takes a swing at Hurt's ribcage but misses.
Turk misses with a low kick.
Turk takes a kick to the side of the head.
Turk throws out a powerful jab.
Turk scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Braden Turk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hurt throws a sloppy head kick and Turk moves out of range easily.
Turk throws a hook to the side of Hurt's head but Hurt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Turk fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Turk throws a leg kick that is checked
and Hurt counters with a series of strikes. Turk will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hurt throws a head kick that misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Turk.
Hurt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Turk.
Hurt with a nice cross.
Turk misses with the combination.
Hurt moves away from the strike by Turk.
A low kick from Turk misses
enabling Hurt to counter with a crisp jab.
Turk misses with a hook to the body
and Hurt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Turk is rocked!
Hurt throws a head kick that misses.
Turk is still on wobbly legs! Can Hurt finish him?
Hurt tries a head kick but it misses.
Turk moves out of range as Hurt throws a body kick.
A low kick from Turk is predictable there
and Hurt counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Hurt looks at the referee who does nothing so Hurt lands a crushing right that sends Turk to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Big Hurt!
