Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Makovsky!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makovsky is looking to clinch.
Daross lands with a thumping leg kick.
Makovsky wants to clinch.
Daross throws a head kick that Makovsky semi-blocks.
Daross lands a head kick!
Makovsky takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Nice defenses there by Daross.
Makovsky shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Daross as he avoids it easily.
Makovsky looks for a takedown but Daross sprawls well.
Makovsky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daross.
Daross feints and then cracks Makovsky's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Makovsky down.
Daross throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Makovsky takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Daross lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Daross lands with a shot to the body.
No joy there for Makovsky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Makovsky throws a right and a left that both miss.
Makovsky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hendrik Daross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Makovsky.
Makovsky looks gassed!
Whack! Daross lands a heavy head kick that drops Makovsky. The ref tackles Daross to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Makovsky was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Hendrik Daross!
