Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Quid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Sol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quid comes to the cage accompanied by The Wicker Man. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Quid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Sol!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sol avoids the body shot from Quid.
Quid looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Quid throws a sloppy head kick and Sol moves out of range easily.
Johnny Quid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quid finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Sol has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Quid.
Crunch! Quid slams his shin into Sol's torso.
Quid works the jab nicely.
Quid moves in looking to clinch but Sol pushes him off.
Quid misses with an attempted mid kick.
Quid scores with a leg kick.

Quid shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sol is trying to defend but Quid finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Quid is working for a kimura but Sol is defending it quite comfortably.

Sol regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Quid.
Quid throwing strikes from guard but Sol blocks nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Quid wants to control from the top but Sol keeps moving.
Quid is really struggling to control Sol but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Sol working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Quid.
Quid throws a big right hand that misses.

Quid postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Quid keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sol's head.
Quid slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Quid trying to control the position but Sol is working away.
Quid working away.

Quid is trying to get an arm triangle but Sol is defending well.

Quid is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sol knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quid wants to control but Sol is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Quid's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Quid throws a half hearted mid kick.
Quid looks to score with a jab to the body but Sol is just out of range.
Quid blocks the body kick.
Quid throws a nice outside leg kick.
Quid thows a body shot but no joy.
Quid throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Quid throws a series of punches but Sol moves out of range.
Quid just misses with a punch to the body.
Sol looks for a takedown but Quid sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Quid.

Sol shoots in but no luck this time.
Quid connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Quid misses with a wild body shot.
Quid is looking to land body kicks.
Sol shoots in but Quid avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Johnny Quid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viktor Sol.
Quid pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Sol closes this distance looking for a takedown but Quid circles away.
Quid throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Sol shoots in and drives through. Quid sprawls well.
Quid lands a body shot.
Quid misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sol shoots in for a double leg but Quid sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Quid's corner calls for a 1-2. Quid obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Quid misses with a series of wild punches.
Sol takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Sol on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Quid. Quid obviously looking to wear him down.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Quid. Sol shrugs it off though.
Quid tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sol blocks the body kick.
Quid misses with a body kick.

Sol dives in and scores a takedown into Quid's guard.
Quid looking for a sweep. Not yet Quid, not yet.
Sol passes Quid's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Sol is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sol looks to land a strike but Quid avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Sol cracks Quid with a solid left hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sol keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Quid's head.
Quid utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sol is looking to work some ground and pound but Quid has wrist control.
Sol wants to pass the guard but Quid is keeping the position.
Quid is looking to stand up but Sol isn't so interested in that idea.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Quid throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Sol changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Quid looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sol scores with a couple of short elbows.
Sol is putting a hurting on Quid here, landing some big shots from side control.
Quid is trying to control Sol's posture but Sol avoids it.

Sol is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Quid is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Quid throws Sol to one side and escapes!
Quid blocks the body kick.

Horrible takedown by Sol or perhaps it was just good defense by Quid which made him look bad.
A head kick misses from Sol.
A swing and a miss from Quid.
Quid is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sol.
Sol keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Quid throws a body kick that misses

and Sol counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Quid avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sol.
Quid trying to control from the bottom.
Johnny Quid is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Sol passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Quid!
Sol landing strikes from the mount and Quid is in trouble!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Quid is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Quid is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sol breaks from Quid's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Sol lands with some strikes.
Quid is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sol lands a big elbow.
Viktor Sol has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sol has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Quid's face.
Quid is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Quid in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Quid is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Sol looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Sol scoring with strikes but Quid is staying in there.
Sol with the ground and pound from mount.
Sol has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Quid's face.


Quid is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sol postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Quid looks a forlorn figure.
Oh Quid is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sol in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Quid takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Sol's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
