Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dameon Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes to the cage accompanied by Brazilian Death. Durham is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mercy. Dameon Machida had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Durham!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durham misses with a hook.
Machida looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Durham scores with a crisp jab that stopped Machida in his tracks.
Durham blocks the body kick.
Machida feints and then cracks Durham's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Durham down.
Machida bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Machida throws a head kick that misses.
Durham connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A nice inside leg kick there by Machida. That's going to slow Durham down.
Machida tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Durham darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Machida lands a nice looking kick to the body. Durham takes a step back to recover.
Machida throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Durham gets tackled into the cage by Machida. Machida maintains the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head punch on the inside from Machida fails to land.

Durham wants the takedown. Machida is fighting it off but Durham persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Machida's guard against the cage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Machida had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Durham defends it easily.

Machida has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Durham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Machida postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Durham is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Durham looking to hit a scissor sweep but Machida is one step ahead there.
Durham manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Machida manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Dameon Machida will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Durham will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Machida throws a low kick, looking for Durham's leg but Durham calmly moves out of range.
Machida throws a head kick that Durham semi-blocks.

Machida shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Machida tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Machida makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Durham really felt that one!

Durham gets to his feet - Machida follows without any prompting.

A head kick from Machida lands but Durham takes it in his stride.

Durham looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Durham lands with an uppercut that bounces Machida off the cage and back into range.

Machida drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Machida takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Durham looks to score with a jab to the body but Machida is just out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Durham, as that shot connected.

Machida is rocked!

Durham shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Machida is on queer street and Durham is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
