Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Primo Hernandez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Bostick! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bostick, right into the meat.
Bostick connects with a leg kick. Hernandez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hernandez. Bostick lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Hernandez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bostick sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hernandez somewhat. Bostick lands a glancing blow to the side of Hernandez's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bostick lands a big head kick that sends Hernandez tumbling to the mat! Bostick takes a step backwards and waves Hernandez back to his feet - he wants the finish! Bostick lands a body shot.
Bostick explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Primo Hernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hernandez is breathing heavily. Hernandez shoots in looking for a takedown but Bostick manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hernandez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Primo Hernandez. That's going to take a lot out of him. That kick from Bostick tenderised Hernandez's leg. Hernandez is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bostick scores with a push kick. Hernandez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bostick lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hernandez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Bostick throws a nice outside leg kick. Hernandez avoids the head kick by Bostick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Bostick. Bostick scores with a spinning back kick! Hernandez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Bostick chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bostick feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hernandez's calf. Hernandez has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bostick. Bostick lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hernandez moves forwards but Bostick connects with a nice, crisp jab. Bostick lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Hernandez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Bostick fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bostick lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hernandez on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bostick. Bostick obviously looking to wear him down.
Hernandez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hernandez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Bostick lands a big right hand that sends Hernandez crashing to the mat! Bostick stays standing though and waves Hernandez back to his feet!
Hernandez is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bostick lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Bostick with a jab. Oh Hernandez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bostick cracks Hernandez with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bostick has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hernandez to stand back up! Bostick throws a head kick but Hernandez moves out of range.
Bostick and Hernandez are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Bostick throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Hernandez into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Bostick knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). James Bostick!
