Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Herb Everyday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason McGully (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Everyday's entrance music is Eek A Mouse- the man and the mouse. A fine choice. Herb Everyday is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Herb Everyday!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jason McGully!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Everyday misses with a wild body shot.
Everyday scores with a shot to the body.
McGully gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Everyday counters with a nice uppercut.
McGully fails to land the takedown.
McGully fails with a takedown attempt.
Herb Everyday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason McGully.

Everyday lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends McGully sprawling to the canvas. Everyday follows him down, looking for the kill. Can McGully hang on?


McGully is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Everyday throwing shots but McGully is blocking nicely.
McGully wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Everyday sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McGully defending well though.

Everyday looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Everyday throwing shots but McGully is blocking nicely.
Everyday tries to pass the half guard into mount. McGully knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Everyday thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McGully's head.
McGully is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Everyday connects with a nice short shot to McGully's temple.

Everyday throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Everyday seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGully does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Everyday prevents McGully from standing back up.
Everyday is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Everyday lands with a punch from half guard.
Everyday seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

McGully is looking to control Everyday's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McGully avoid being mounted?
Everyday stops McGully from getting back to his feet.
Everyday sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McGully defending well though.
McGully tries to get to full guard but Everyday has control of the leg.
Everyday with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Everyday has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McGully shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

McGully tries for a takedown but Everyday sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Everyday ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Everyday swings widly with a right hand

and McGully counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McGully is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McGully wants to stand up but Everyday has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Everyday slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
McGully would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Herb Everyday dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Everyday lands a nice leg kick that just misses McGully's sensitive parts.
Everyday throws a body punch but McGully moves out of range.
McGully shoots for a takedown but Everyday saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Everyday counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Everyday.
Everyday wants to control from the top but McGully keeps moving.
McGully wants to stand and escape but Everyday is having none of it.
Everyday trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Everyday passes McGully's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Everyday wants to work for an arm triangle but McGully is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McGully trying to get back to full guard but Everyday takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
McGully is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Everyday scores with a couple of good head shots there.
A nice elbow there by Everyday.
Everyday has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McGully's face.

McGully is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Everyday raining down shots from the mount!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Everyday is working for a guillotine from mount but McGully frees his head quite easily.

McGully seems to have recovered his senses.
McGully wants to control but Everyday is having none of it.

Everyday can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McGully is looking to escape.
Everyday lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Everyday landing strikes from the mount and McGully is in trouble!
Herb Everyday overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Everyday scoring with strikes but McGully is staying in there.
Everyday trying to control but McGully is having none of it.
McGully squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Everyday postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked McGully badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Everyday around the waist but Everyday pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Everyday is the winner by TKO! Everyday jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Herb Everyday!
