Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julius Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sun Shine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Its a Fight. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julius Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Sun Shine!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Steel sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Shine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steel manages to avoid it.
Shine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Steel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shine throws out the jab.

Shine takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Steel takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Steel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Steel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Shine's head backwards.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Shine checks a leg kick.
Steel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Steel lands the left hand.
Shine misses with a series of wild punches.
Steel dodges the punch combination from Shine.
Steel avoids the head kick by Shine.
Steel looks to throw the jab but Shine is out of range.
No joy there for Steel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Shine gets tackled into the cage by Steel. Steel maintains the clinch.
Steel tries to break free but Shine pushes him back against the cage.
Steel wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shine has him pressed against the cage.
Shine with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Steel.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shine tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Shine misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Steel.
Steel lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Steel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shine misses with a straight left.
Shine throws a low kick but Steel avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shine misses with a hook.
Steel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Steel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Julius Steel will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Steel.
Shine throws a half hearted mid kick.

Shine fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Steel.
Shine lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Shine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steel.
Shine ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Shine throws a right hand that Steel ducks under and follows up with a left that Steel also avoids with ease.

and Steel counters with a three punch combo that has Shine backing up. Shine nods at Steel to acknowledge the strikes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Julius Steel.
