The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Probert cracks Ferguson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Probert lands with a straight right. Ferguson didn't see that one coming.
A jab from Probert does it's job there.

Ferguson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Probert's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Probert wants to stand but Ferguson is controlling the position.

Ferguson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Ferguson shoots for a double leg takedown but Probert sprawls well. He's pushed Ferguson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Probert misses with a series of wild punches.

Ferguson shoots in and gets a takedown into Probert's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ferguson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ferguson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Ferguson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Probert knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ferguson drops an elbow to the side of Probert's head.
Probert wants to control but Ferguson is keeping busy.
Ferguson is taking a breather. Probert says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sparky Probert hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Probert goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Ferguson scores with a takedown into Probert's guard.
Probert really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferguson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ferguson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Probert comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Probert bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ferguson's head backwards.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ferguson.
Probert stuns Ferguson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Probert throws a shot to the body.
Ferguson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Probert throws a low kick, looking for Ferguson's leg but Ferguson calmly moves out of range.
Ferguson tries to clinch up.
Ferguson closes the distance but Probert moves to the side
and Probert counters with a right hand to the body.
Probert dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ferguson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Probert.

Ferguson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Probert.
Probert digs a good body shot into Ferguson's ribs.
Ferguson checks a low kick from Probert.
Ferguson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Probert to score with a decent uppercut.

Ferguson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Probert stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for bj Ferguson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ferguson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
