Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rueda lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Coelho backs up against the cage.
Coelho tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rueda swivels and escapes.
Rueda lands with a right hand.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rueda.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Coelho can't do much from the bottom here.
Coelho is trying to get back to half guard.

Rueda decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Coelho gets caught flat footed, as Rueda shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coelho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rueda trying to control the position from guard on top but Coelho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Coelho has his foot on Rueda's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rueda works his way back into a safe position though.

Rueda stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Coelho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Coelho is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rueda can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Coelho is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rueda to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rueda shrugs it off.

Coelho throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rueda tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Coelho is in Rueda's guard.

Coelho tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rueda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Rueda tries to close the distance and clinch but Coelho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dan Rueda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rueda drives through and clinches with Coelho against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Rueda keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Coelho's efforts to push away.
Rueda is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Coelho to keep the fight standing.
Rueda on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rueda keeps control of Coelho as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Coelho looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Coelho manages to break the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
