Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Erik Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arroyo Malavino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the ring accompanied by No Sunshine - DMX. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Erik Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arroyo Malavino!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malavino thuds his right hand into Silva's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Silva tries to clinch but Malavino moves away
and Malavino counters with a head kick. That will keep Silva thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Silva's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Malavino connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Silva scrambles back to his feet.


Silva is rocked!
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Malavino pushes him off.
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Malavino counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Silva onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva wants to clinch
and Malavino counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Silva tries to clinch up
and Malavino counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Malavino comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
Malavino tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva misses with a head kick.
Silva wants to clinch but Malavino slips to the side
and Malavino counters with a straight right hand.
Malavino throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Silva tries to keep at a distance but Malavino has taken the fight into the clinch.
Silva is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Malavino lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Silva tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Malavino lands with a light punch inside.
Malavino working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Malavino lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Malavino scores with a nice hook to the head.
Silva throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Malavino blocks it with crossed arms.
Malavino works on Silva's body with a couple of short punches.
Malavino cracks Silva with a big uppercut, right up the middle and Silva goes down! Oh, he's hurt! He's bigtime hurt! The referee is giving him a chance to get back to his feet - 4,5,6,7, no, he's called it off! Silva wasn't going to make it and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Arroyo Malavino!
