PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kleberson The Fly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Reed or perhaps it was just good defense by The Fly which made him look bad. The Fly shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reed counters with a straight punch to the midsection. The Fly lands with a slapping head kick. Reed scores with a takedown into The Fly's guard. Reed sitting in guard here, content to control. The Fly has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Reed has passed into side control.
Reed is working to tighten is grip on The Fly's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. The Fly has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Reed is really squeezing tight and eventually The Fly passes out! Reed breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Dean Reed!
