Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Maurice Domingo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt tries to close the distance and clinch but Domingo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hunt wants to clinch up but Domingo keeps it at a distance.
Domingo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hunt sprawls well initially but Domingo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hunt looks like he's trying to stand up.
Domingo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hunt has had enough of the clinch but Domingo keeps him there for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Hunt.
Domingo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Domingo stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Hunt with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Domingo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Domingo throws a head kick but Hunt moves out of range.
Mike Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt wants to clinch
so Domingo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Domingo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Hunt has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Domingo is looking to defend but Hunt has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Domingo! Hunt pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Domingo taps out and this one is all over!

Our winner, Mike Hunt, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
