Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vladik Fedotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson lands a nice shot that snaps Fedotov's head back.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Thompson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Fedotov is now in Thompson's guard. A big mistake from Thompson there, giving up the dominant position!

Thompson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fedotov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Thompson.

Thompson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fedotov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Thompson has Fedotov in his guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vladik Fedotov.
