Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Duscaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tyson Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duscaw comes to the cage accompanied by "I am the Walrus" by The Beatles. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Duscaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, tyson Griffin! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duscaw thuds a left hand into Griffin's body. Duscaw stalks Griffin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Griffin's face. Griffin staggers backwards, shaken. Brandon Duscaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Duscaw dives in and grabs Griffin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes down on Duscaw's head and hops out. Duscaw swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Griffin shoots in and bounces Duscaw off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Duscaw looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Griffin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Duscaw swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Griffin trying to control the position from guard on top but Duscaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Griffin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Duscaw connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Griffin scrambles back to his feet. Duscaw shoots in but no luck this time. Duscaw throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Griffin stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Duscaw follows into mount!
Griffin is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Duscaw throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Duscaw wants to control the pace but Griffin is squirming around nicely. Duscaw content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duscaw punishing his opponent with strikes. Duscaw is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Griffin has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Griffin! Duscaw working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Griffin. Griffin trying to control but Duscaw is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin tries to free his leg and advance position but Duscaw is retaining full guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Duscaw uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Griffin. Griffin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Duscaw misses with the combination.
Duscaw pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Griffin back to the cage. Duscaw follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Griffin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Duscaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Duscaw. That's going to take a lot out of him. Griffin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duscaw swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Griffin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Duscaw shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Griffin but Griffin pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice takedown defense from Griffin. No joy for Duscaw on that attempt. Griffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Griffin wants it to stay on the feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Griffin moves away from the strike by Duscaw. Griffin scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Brandon Duscaw has been cut. Duscaw tries for a takedown but Griffin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Duscaw is breathing heavily. Duscaw throws an off balance right hand
and Griffin counters with a straight right hand. Griffin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Duscaw defends it nicely. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nice defenses there by Griffin. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Duscaw is defended easily by Griffin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Duscaw dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brandon Duscaw's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Duscaw fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Griffin avoids it really well and circles away. Duscaw misses with a hook. Griffin ducked under it nicely. Griffin shoots in for a takedown but Duscaw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Griffin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Duscaw doesn't seem bothered though. Duscaw misses with a low kick. Duscaw doesn't succeed with the takedown and Griffin counters with a three punch combo that has Duscaw backing up. Duscaw nods at Griffin to acknowledge the strikes. Brandon Duscaw is winning the standup battle so far. Griffin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Duscaw on the side of the head. Griffin lands a jab to the nose. Griffin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Duscaw is trying to defend but Griffin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Griffin prevents Duscaw from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Griffin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Griffin is nestled in close to Duscaw, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Still in half guard, Griffin seems content to control. Griffin wants to take a breather but Duscaw is having none of it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. tyson Griffin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Duscaw connects with a good right hand that stumbles Griffin. Griffin circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A cross from Griffin lands. A cross from Griffin lands. Duscaw closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Duscaw lands in his opponent's guard. Duscaw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Griffin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Duscaw is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duscaw in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Duscaw keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Griffin's head. Duscaw trying to control but Griffin is working from the bottom. Griffin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Griffin keeping moving, preventing Duscaw from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brandon Duscaw. Griffin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Duscaw moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice shot by Duscaw. Brandon Duscaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Griffin slips under a jab. Duscaw clobbers Griffin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Duscaw with a poor takedown enabling Griffin to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Duscaw. That's going to take a lot out of him. Griffin leaves Duscaw with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Griffin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Duscaw. Duscaw missing with a left hand there. Griffin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A combination from Griffin does no damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duscaw shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Griffin sprawls well. Griffin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Duscaw gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Duscaw throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Griffin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Brandon Duscaw will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brandon Duscaw's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Griffin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duscaw pinned against the cage. Duscaw gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Duscaw tried to score with a low kick but Griffin checks it. Decent striking displayed by Griffin there. Griffin walks into a straight right hand from Duscaw. Griffin staying out of range there. Griffin misses with a double jab.
Duscaw getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Duscaw connects with a single shot there. Duscaw connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Griffin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Griffin sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duscaw working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Griffin. Duscaw keeping moving, preventing Griffin from controlling successfully. Griffin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Griffin staying out of range there. Duscaw is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Griffin sizes up Duscaw with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Griffin lands a nice hook to Duscaw's body. Duscaw takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Duscaw throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duscaw throws a sloppy head kick and Griffin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Duscaw shoots in looking for a takedown. Griffin tries to sprawl out of it but Duscaw keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Griffin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Duscaw misses with a right hand letting Griffin counter with a right hand. Griffin avoids the body shot from Duscaw.

tyson Griffin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Duscaw shoots in but no luck this time. Griffin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Duscaw tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Griffin is in Duscaw's guard. Griffin's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duscaw keeping moving, preventing Griffin from controlling successfully. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by tyson Griffin. A jab from Duscaw finds it's way through Griffin's defenses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Griffin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Duscaw fails to land with a series of punches.
Duscaw takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Griffin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Griffin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Griffin, as that shot connected.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Duscaw misses with a body shot.
Griffin slips under a jab. Brandon Duscaw is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Duscaw jabbing away but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! tyson Griffin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Duscaw has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
