Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christer Fugelsang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charobi Mac D!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac D tries to move into range but Fugelsang moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Mac D lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fugelsang circles away quickly and effectively.
Fugelsang misses with a wild combination.
Sloppy strikes from Mac D. Those never looked like landing.
Fugelsang scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mac D wants to get back to his feet but Fugelsang drags him back down.
Fugelsang swings around for an armbar but Mac D sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Fugelsang's guard.
Fugelsang has his foot on Mac D's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mac D works his way back into a safe position though.
Fugelsang is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mac D defends well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fugelsang looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mac D stands up from Fugelsang's guard - Mac D perhaps looking for a knockout.
Mac D looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Mac D stuffs the takedown.
Mac D misses with the combination.
Fugelsang shoots for a double leg takedown but Mac D sprawls well. He's pushed Fugelsang's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mac D leaves Fugelsang with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christer Fugelsang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fugelsang lands with a straight right. Mac D didn't see that one coming.
Fugelsang shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mac D defends it nicely.
Mac D misses with a double jab.

and Mac D counters with a two punch combo.

Fugelsang throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mac D sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fugelsang is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mac D.
Mac D misses with a wild combination.
Fugelsang bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mac D's head backwards.
Mac D throws out a powerful jab.
Fugelsang is rocked!
Fugelsang misses the shot to the body.
Oh Fugelsang is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fugelsang shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mac D sprawls well. Mac D wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fugelsang gets slowly back to his feet.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Mac D has cracked Fugelsang with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Mac D lands another huge swinging hook and Fugelsang tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Fugelsang, before Mac D can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Charobi Mac D!
