And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana looks for a takedown but Awesome sprawls well.
Santana lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Awesome circles away quickly and effectively.
A head kick by Awesome misses
and Santana counters with a shoot takedown. Awesome fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Santana postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Santana tries to free his leg and advance position but Awesome is retaining full guard.
Santana is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Santana slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Awesome keeping moving, preventing Santana from controlling successfully.
Santana throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Awesome works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Awesome utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Santana has gone for a leg lock! Awesome slips out almost immediately though and dives into Santana's guard.
Awesome has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
