The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by St Pierre.
St Pierre is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Clubus sneaks back into half guard.
Clubus wants to get back to his feet.
Clubus moves into full guard.

Clubus had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. St Pierre is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Clubus Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take St Pierre's back instead.
St Pierre is really stuck here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Clubus is persistently looking for the submission but St Pierre is defending it well.
Clubus is hanging on to St Pierre's back as he tries to escape.
St Pierre tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Clubus prevents St Pierre from getting the reversal.

St Pierre bucks Clubus off and manages to get back to his feet!
Clubus throws a hook to the side of St Pierre's head but St Pierre sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
St Pierre wants to clinch.
St Pierre chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Clubus is breathing heavily.
A head kick misses from St Pierre.
St Pierre connects with a solid leg kick.
Clubus throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
St Pierre looks for the body kick but Clubus saw that one coming.
St Pierre misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Clubus thows a leg kick but St Pierre checks it
and St Pierre counters with a body kick that stops Clubus in his tracks momentarily.
