Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lane Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost has chosen 8 second ride (Jake Owen) as his entrance music. Lane Frost is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Freddy Reynolds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lane Frost!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Frost.
Frost lands with a hook. Reynolds tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Freddy Reynolds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reynolds shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Frost is trying to defend but Reynolds finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Frost looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Reynolds working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Reynolds scoring with strikes to the body and head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frost can do anything to dispel that myth.
Frost keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Reynolds not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Reynolds has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Frost manages to get to full guard.
Frost trying to control the position.
Frost manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reynolds manages to get himself to full guard.

Frost is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Reynolds has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Frost is looking to defend but Reynolds has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Frost! Reynolds pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Frost taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Freddy Reynolds!
