Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by It's Amazing by Kanye West. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Slyker.
Slyker swinging wildly here.
Slyker fails to land with a series of punches.
Slyker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lucas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lucas lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lucas looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Slyker throws a combination that misses
and Lucas counters with a straight right hand.
Lucas throws a front kick that sends Slyker stumbling back into the cage.
Lucas thuds his right hand into Slyker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Cain Slyker has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lucas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lucas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slyker circles away quickly and effectively.
Lucas lands a jab.
Slyker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lucas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Slyker chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lucas can pounce on him.
Slyker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lucas.
Slyker looks gassed!

Slyker sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Slyker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lucas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Slyker throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Slyker fails with the takedown.
Lucas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Slyker has time to react.
Lucas thumps Slyker with a low kick.
Lucas throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
An inside leg kick lands from Lucas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lucas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Lucas lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lucas scores with a leg kick.
Slyker gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lucas fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Slyker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Lucas lands with a good body shot.

Lucas cracks Slyker with an open hand slap.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lucas.
Slyker tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A solid leg kick lands there for Lucas.
Lucas lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lucas - that will leave a mark!
Slyker falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lucas counters with a nice leg kick.
Lucas feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Slyker sprawling to the canvas! Slyker rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Lucas finish him?!
Slyker is rocked!
Lucas ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Slyker out cold! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Travis Lucas!
Travis Lucas was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
