Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Mott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peppu Reiska MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacDonald has chosen Young MC - Bust a Move as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Mott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peppu Reiska MacDonald!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mott misses with a low kick as MacDonald jumps back.
MacDonald misses with a wild body shot.
Mott throws a combination but it was largely blocked by MacDonald.
Mott lands a right hook to the body.

and MacDonald counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
MacDonald feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mott's calf.

MacDonald is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Mott rather than just go for the knockout.

Mott postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
MacDonald tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Mott easily slips into full mount!
Mott avoids the attempt from MacDonald to control.
MacDonald keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Mott postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. MacDonald looks a forlorn figure.

MacDonald is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Peppu Reiska MacDonald seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mott tries to bum rush MacDonald with a series of wild strikes but MacDonald uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
MacDonald fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
MacDonald scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Peppu Reiska MacDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Mott manages to get an easy takedown there - catching MacDonald on his heels. He'll look to pass MacDonald's guard now, I'm sure.

John Mott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

MacDonald has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
MacDonald fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mott on the side of the head.
Peppu Reiska MacDonald is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mott doesn't succeed with the takedown
and MacDonald counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
MacDonald cracks Mott with a right hand to the side of the head.

Mott closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into MacDonald's guard.

MacDonald is nestled in close to Mott, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mott moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Mott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
MacDonald wants to control from the top but Mott keeps moving.
MacDonald might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mott kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

MacDonald got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mott has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, MacDonald has managed to get both his arms back between Mott's legs - danger averted.
MacDonald not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Peppu Reiska MacDonald was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Mott throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mott takes one on the chin but seems OK.

MacDonald lands a nice shot to the body.
Mott throws a solid leg kick but MacDonald takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mott.

Peppu Reiska MacDonald comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think MacDonald has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
