Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kunimitsu Tezuka!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tezuka throws a nice head kick!
Tezuka shoots in looking for a takedown but Hartwell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tezuka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tezuka has a takedown stuffed.
Tezuka tries to work over Hartwell's front leg with a kick but Hartwell checks it.
A jab from Hartwell misses.
Hartwell looks to score with a jab to the body but Tezuka is just out of range.
Hartwell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tezuka.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hartwell. Tezuka does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tezuka uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hartwell.
Hartwell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tezuka moves away.

Hartwell throws a big shot that misses.
Hartwell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tezuka circles away quickly and effectively.
Tezuka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hartwell.

Hartwell has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Tezuka is working for takedown but Hartwell is calmly controlling the position for now.
William Hartwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kunimitsu Tezuka.

Hartwell tries to stall but Tezuka uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Hartwell is trying to break the clinch but Tezuka has him pressed against the cage.
Hartwell has had enough of the clinch but Tezuka keeps him there for the moment.
Hartwell stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Tezuka has Hartwell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hartwell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Tezuka keeps control of Hartwell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hartwell tries to break the clinch but Tezuka is controlling the position.
Tezuka blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hartwell tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Tezuka has Hartwell pressed against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tezuka tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Tezuka is trying to pull guard but Hartwell turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Hartwell misses with a punch to the body.
Hartwell digs a right hand underneath Tezuka's ribcage. Tezuka let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Tezuka using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hartwell has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Tezuka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tezuka throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tezuka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tezuka tries a head kick but it misses.

Hartwell lands with a nice body punch.
Tezuka looks gassed!
Hartwell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tezuka stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hartwell takes a swing at Tezuka's ribcage but misses.
Tezuka fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tezuka shoots in but Hartwell avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A punch combination from Hartwell misses.
Tezuka tries for a takedown but Hartwell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hartwell is looking to wear down Tezuka with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Tezuka takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Hartwell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hartwell scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hartwell connects with a body shot.

Hartwell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tezuka moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hartwell cracks Tezuka with a right hand to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hartwell stuffs the takedown.
Hartwell misses with a two punch combination.
Hartwell misses with an uppercut.
William Hartwell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A right-left combo lands from Hartwell.
Tezuka is rocked!
Tezuka leaves his chin hanging out and Hartwell seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Tezuka crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
