Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dean Winchester!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winchester rushes Thomas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Winchester wants to break free but Thomas has control.
Thomas prevents Winchester from breaking the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Thomas.
Thomas wants a takedown.
Thomas is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Thomas jumps guard and drags Winchester to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Thomas working for a triangle but Winchester defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Winchester wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Thomas's closed guard. He's half up but Thomas has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Thomas pivots and extends the arm, Winchester falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Thomas! Well done that man!

William Thomas is the new middleweight champion!
William Thomas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
