Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Diago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vo Nguyen Giap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes to the cage accompanied by Coming Home. Giap has chosen Beach Party Vietnam as his entrance music. Vo Nguyen Giap has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diago Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vo Nguyen Giap! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Giap gets in close and instigates a clinch. Sanchez has a couple of punches blocked by Giap.
Knees to the body from Giap.
Sanchez can't break the clinch.
Giap pushes Sanchez back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Sanchez doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Giap slows down the pace here.

Giap digs a right hand into Sanchez's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sanchez's gas tank. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sanchez. Sanchez lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A short uppercut from Giap. Giap lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Diago Sanchez has been cut. Giap works on Sanchez's body with a couple of short punches. Sanchez holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Giap breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez wants to free his trapped foot but Giap is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sanchez misses with a head shot. Giap uses the momentum to regain guard. Giap wants to stand but Sanchez is controlling the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanchez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Giap bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanchez's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is looking for a triangle but Giap pushes his legs off easily.
Giap wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Sanchez's closed guard. He's half up but Sanchez has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Sanchez pivots and extends the arm, Giap falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Sanchez! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Diago Sanchez! In his post fight interview, Diago Sanchez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
