Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dominic Blow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Nieminen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominic Blow has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dominic Blow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matti Nieminen! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nieminen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Blow is refusing to be controlled, as Nieminen sits in half guard. Nieminen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nieminen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Nieminen is trying to control the action in half guard but Blow is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nieminen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blow doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nieminen. Blow on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Blow tries to get out of the position. Blow is not content to let Nieminen control the position. Nieminen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nieminen might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Blow kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Nieminen passes the guard and advances to mount! Nieminen wants to finish this one by submission but Blow is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Nieminen. Nieminen trying to control but Blow is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blow is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nieminen dominating with strikes here. Nieminen looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Blow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nieminen on the ground. Nieminen goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Blow turns into him and now he's in Nieminen's guard.
Nieminen pulls Blow in close to his closed guard and prevents Blow from doing any damage or advancing position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blow throwing strikes from guard but Nieminen blocks nicely. Nieminen managing to control the position. Nieminen keeping moving, preventing Blow from controlling successfully. Nieminen manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Nieminen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nieminen tries to control but Blow wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nieminen punching from mount but Blow doing a good job of avoiding damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Blow working to try and regain half guard.
Nieminen cracks Blow with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matti Nieminen dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nieminen shoots for a takedown but Blow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Horrible takedown by Blow or perhaps it was just good defense by Nieminen which made him look bad. Blow is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nieminen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Blow shoots in but Nieminen avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominic Blow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nieminen stuffs the takedown attempt from Blow. Blow gets slowly back to his feet. Blow tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nieminen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blow somewhat. Horrible takedown by Blow or perhaps it was just good defense by Nieminen which made him look bad. Nieminen shoots in for a takedown but Blow shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. No luck for Blow with that takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blow fails with a takedown attempt. Blow looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nieminen is fending him off so far but Blow persists. Nope, Nieminen circles away and we're back to standing. Nieminen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Blow was covering up waiting for the punch and Nieminen finishes the takedown easily into guard. Nieminen trying to control but Blow is working from the bottom. Nieminen passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nieminen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Nieminen missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Nieminen stops Blow from getting back to his feet.
Nieminen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Blow avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nieminen. Nieminen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blow does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Nieminen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Nieminen wants to control but Blow is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nieminen is thwarting Blow's attempts to control the position. Nieminen is looking to advance position but Blow won't allow it. Blow taking some punishment here, with Nieminen in his half guard. Nieminen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Blow blocking the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nieminen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Nieminen breaks from Blow's wrist control and lands an elbow. Nieminen thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nieminen thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blow is working to get back to half guard.

Matti Nieminen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Nieminen stuffs the takedown. Blow shoots for a double leg takedown but Nieminen sprawls well. He's pushed Blow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Blow with a lazy takedown attempt and Nieminen counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominic Blow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blow fails with the takedown and Nieminen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Dominic Blow has been cut. Blow with a lazy takedown attempt and Nieminen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Blow's guard. Blow preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Nieminen trying to control the position from guard on top but Blow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nieminen forces his way into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nieminen is trying to control the action in half guard but Blow is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nieminen works his way into side control. Blow takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Nieminen cracks Blow with a big elbow. Nieminen grinds an elbow into Blow's temple. Nieminen tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Nieminen is looking to take a break and control but Blow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nieminen throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Matti Nieminen has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blow avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Nieminen. Nieminen in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Nieminen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Blow has escaped the position, nice work there. The strikes coming from Nieminen are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Nieminen tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nieminen is trying to get an arm triangle but Blow is defending well. Nieminen sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Blow is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Nieminen working the head and body with strikes. The ground and pound from Nieminen seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Blow is not in a great position here, taking some shots. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blow is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nieminen has just dragged him back down to the mat. Dominic Blow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Matti Nieminen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nieminen passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Blow!
And that's the end of the fight! Matti Nieminen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nieminen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Matti Nieminen wins by unanimous decision! Matti Nieminen spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
