And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lesnar.

McFandy drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lesnar is looking to stand up but McFandy isn't so interested in that idea.
Lesnar keeping moving, preventing McFandy from controlling successfully.
Lesnar trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Lesnar has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
McFandy wants to stand but Lesnar is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andy McFandy.
McFandy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Lesnar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lesnar wants it to stay on the feet.
McFandy lands a nice shot to the body.
McFandy looks to score with a jab to the body but Lesnar is just out of range.
McFandy closes the distance looking to clinch

and Lesnar counters with a single leg into guard. McFandy didn't expect that.
Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McFandy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lesnar throws a big right hand that misses.
Lesnaris looking to pass into half guard but McFandy pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now McFandy is in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lesnar looking for a sweep. Not yet Lesnar, not yet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lesnar can do anything to dispel that myth.

McFandy being controlled here momentarily.
McFandy won't allow Lesnar to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Brock Lesnar.

McFandy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McFandy lands in his opponent's guard.
Lesnar keeping moving, preventing McFandy from controlling successfully.
McFandy is fighting to break Lesnar's control of his arms but Lesnar is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
McFandy looking to pass the guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Andy McFandy just wasn't active enough.
McFandy wants to clinch but Lesnar slips to the side

and Lesnar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McFandy's guard now.
Lesnar throwing strikes from guard but McFandy blocks nicely.
Lesnar throws a strike but McFandy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lesnar is pulling down on McFandy's head. It's preventing any offense from McFandy, at least for the moment.

Lesnar manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Andy McFandy's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
