Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johnny Fallon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fedor Matsyuchenko! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matsyuchenko keeps the fight on the outside. Fallon looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Matsyuchenko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fallon swinging wilding here.
Matsyuchenko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A swing and a miss from Fallon. Matsyuchenko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Matsyuchenko fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fallon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Matsyuchenko scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Fallon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fallon has a takedown stuffed. Fallon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matsyuchenko gets full guard. Matsyuchenko looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Matsyuchenko looking to control.
Matsyuchenko is looking to stand up but Fallon isn't so interested in that idea. Fallon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fallon won't allow Matsyuchenko to sweep him here. Fallon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Matsyuchenko is proving hard to escape from.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Matsyuchenko gets a clinch. Matsyuchenko lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Fallon gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Matsyuchenko regains guard.
Matsyuchenko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Fallon wants to get back to his feet. Matsyuchenko is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fallon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matsyuchenko is working away from the top position though. Matsyuchenko is looking for a kimura but Fallon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Matsyuchenko to get the leverage. Fallon wants to get back to his feet. Matsyuchenko wants to control but Fallon is keeping him busy. Matsyuchenko not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Matsyuchenko is looking for a kimura here.
Matsyuchenko decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Matsyuchenko stalks Fallon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fallon's face. Fallon staggers backwards, shaken. Fallon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Matsyuchenko's waist but Matsyuchenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fallon off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Fallon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fallon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Matsyuchenko counters with a leg kick. Matsyuchenko throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fallon moves into the clinch. Matsyuchenko lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Johnny Fallon has been cut. Matsyuchenko is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fallon pulls him back up using the underhooks. Matsyuchenko with a knee to the head.

Fallon is rocked! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Matsyuchenko takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Fallon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fallon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Matsyuchenko counters with a head kick. That will keep Fallon thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fallon shoots in but no luck this time. Matsyuchenko throws a sloppy head kick and Fallon moves out of range easily. Fallon shoots in but Matsyuchenko avoids the takedown attempt easily. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fallon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Matsyuchenko. Fallon is looking to clinch but Matsyuchenko is avoiding it.
Fallon moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Fallon connects with a nice looking jab.
Fallon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Matsyuchenko is fending him off so far but Fallon persists. Nope, Matsyuchenko circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Matsyuchenko misses with a takedown attempt and Fallon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fallon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Matsyuchenko unloads a knee to the mid-section. Fallon lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fedor Matsyuchenko dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johnny Fallon's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Fallon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Matsyuchenko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Fallon fails with the takedown and Matsyuchenko counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fallon's knee momentarily. Matsyuchenko lands with a kick to the ribs.
Matsyuchenko throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Fallon's head. Oh Fallon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Matsyuchenko connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Fallon! He's out on his feet! Matsyuchenko rushes in and drops Fallon with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Fedor Matsyuchenko!
