The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
von Richthofen looks to land a combination but Giljotin avoids it well.
Giljotin shoots in looking for a takedown. von Richthofen tries to sprawl out of it but Giljotin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. von Richthofen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
von Richthofen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Giljotin.
von Richthofen looks to throw the jab but Giljotin is out of range.
Giljotin has his takedown stuffed
and von Richthofen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
von Richthofen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Giljotin manages to avoid it.

Giljotin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
von Richthofen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

No joy there for von Richthofen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Giljotin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Giljotin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. von Richthofen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Giljotin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Giljotin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Giljotin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Giljotin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

von Richthofen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
von Richthofen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Giljotin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. von Richthofen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
von Richthofen throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
von Richthofen misses with a shot to the body
and Giljotin counters with a takedown into side control.
von Richthofen can't do much from the bottom here.
von Richthofen is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Giljotin is staying active.
von Richthofen tries to buck Giljotin off but Giljotin is having none of it.
Giljotin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. von Richthofen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Giljotin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Giljotin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
David Giljotin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
von Richthofen tries to bench press Giljotin off him but Giljotin keeps the position.
von Richthofen is trying to control Giljotin's posture but Giljotin avoids it.

He's looking for a kimura. von Richthofen seems comfortable defending it but Giljotin has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! von Richthofen is real pain and he's forced to tap out! von Richthofen is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Giljotin couldn't care less - he's delighted!

David Giljotin really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Bushido Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
