McFinnigan comes to the cage accompanied by My Drunken Irish Dad. Cherry has chosen Busters Back as his entrance music. Buster Cherry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Cherry.
It looks like Mickey McFinnigan has been cut.
Cherry scores a takedown into full mount!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
McFinnigan is desperately trying to improve his position but Cherry has a good base and remains in mount.
McFinnigan reaches up and holds on to Cherry to control the position.
Cherry putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cherry misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
McFinnigan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Mickey McFinnigan's cut is getting worse.
Cherry trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Cherry with shots to the head and body - McFinnigan looks very uncomfortable down there.
Mickey McFinnigan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Cherry trying to control but McFinnigan is having none of it.
McFinnigan wants to hold on but Cherry pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cherry pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Jeez, Mickey McFinnigan's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mickey McFinnigan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Buster Cherry!
After the fight, Buster Cherry was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
