Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robin Van Der Straeten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lyle Simans!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Van Der Straeten. Simans does a little dance to reset his feet.
Simans closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Van Der Straeten did well to prevent Simans getting side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Simans escapes and gets back to his feet.
Van Der Straeten rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Simans moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Simans shoots in looking for a takedown. Van Der Straeten tries to sprawl out of it but Simans keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Van Der Straeten manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Van Der Straeten throws a right hand that Simans ducks under and follows up with a left that Simans also avoids with ease.
A combination from Van Der Straeten does no damage.
Simans drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Van Der Straeten's face as Simans controls the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Simans remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Simans decides to stand back up.
Simans steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Van Der Straeten.
No luck for Simans with that takedown attempt.
Simans manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Van Der Straeten on his heels. He'll look to pass Van Der Straeten's guard now, I'm sure.
Simans controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Van Der Straeten is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Simans is controlling him.

Simans stands and steps away. Van Der Straeten gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Van Der Straeten lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Simans circles away quickly and effectively.

Simans throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Van Der Straeten swats away the attempt to clinch by Simans.
Simans fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Van Der Straeten to the ground. Simans is now in Van Der Straeten's guard.

Simans prevents Van Der Straeten from getting back to his feet.

Simans passes Van Der Straeten's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Simans performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Van Der Straeten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simans on the ground.
Simans seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Van Der Straeten is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
