Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikio Okita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Cabreros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabreros has chosen Love is what i got as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikio Okita!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Cabreros!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okita misses with a hook. Cabreros ducked under it nicely.
Cabreros cracks Okita with a right hand to the side of the head.
Cabreros lands with a good body shot.
Cabreros throws a hook but Okita avoids it easily.

Okita shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cabreros's guard.

Cabreros is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cabreros takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Cabreros wants to lay and pray for a moment but Okita keeps working.

Okita is refusing to be controlled, as Cabreros sits in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Peter Cabreros was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Cabreros takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Cabreros uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Okita fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cabreros manages to avoid it.
Okita closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cabreros circles away.
Cabreros throws a hook to the side of Okita's head but Okita sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Cabreros ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cabreros throws a lazy right hand but Okita sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Okita lands a really nice looking cross but Cabreros seems unphased.
Cabreros takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Peter Cabreros is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Okita misses the jab.
Cabreros scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Cabreros throws a hook but Okita blocks it.
Okita with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cabreros to score with a decent uppercut.
Okita swings for the body but Cabreros moves out of range.
Cabreros stuffs the takedown attempt from Okita. Okita gets slowly back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Okita tries to move into range but Cabreros moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Cabreros lands a leg kick that knocks Okita off balance momentarily.
Cabreros swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Okita makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Peter Cabreros showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Okita's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Cabreros thuds his right hand into Okita's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Cabreros lands with an uppercut that bounces Okita off the cage and back into range.
Okita is looking to wear down Cabreros with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Okita shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cabreros is trying to defend but Okita finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mikio Okita overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Okita is just content to waste time from the top position. Cabreros takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Cabreros is pulling down on Okita's head. It's preventing any offense from Okita, at least for the moment.

Cabreros feints and then cracks Okita's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Okita down.

Peter Cabreros comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Cabreros winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
