Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Jphn!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jphn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jphn tries to close the distance and clinch but Alku swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jphn shoots in but no luck this time.
Horrible takedown by Alku or perhaps it was just good defense by Jphn which made him look bad.

and Alku decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jphn's guard.
Uuden Alku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Jphn.

Jphn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alku controls the pace.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jphn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alku can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

It looks like John Jphn has been cut.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Alku postures up in Jphn's guard and throws a big left but Jphn blocks it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alku passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Jphn gets back to half guard.

Jphn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alku swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
