Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chahvez Hunandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Bruce. No joy for Hunandez on that attempt.
Bruce moves into the clinch successfully.
Bruce drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hunandez jumps into guard, dragging Bruce to the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Hunandez lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bruce!

Bruce shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bruce showed some decent athleticism there.

and Bruce counters by clinching up.
Bruce's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hunandez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No luck for Hunandez with that takedown attempt.

Hunandez shoots for a double leg takedown but Bruce sprawls well. He's pushed Hunandez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ben Bruce has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chahvez Hunandez.

and Bruce counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bruce.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

You can see the frustration on Bruce's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Bruce fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hunandez sprawls well initially but Bruce persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hunandez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bruce's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bruce's back!
