Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Changa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Changa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs swinging wildly here.
Changa swats away the attempt to clinch by Jacobs.
Jacobs tries to clinch
and Changa counters with a head kick. That will keep Jacobs thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Jacobs dives in and grabs Changa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Changa pushes down on Jacobs's head and hops out.

Changa decides to pull guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jacobs throwing strikes but missing.
Jacobs slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Jacobs trying to control the position from guard on top but Changa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jacobs postures up.

Changa trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacobs postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Changa is adopting a defensive guard.
Jacobs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Changa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jacobs has gone for a leg lock! Changa slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jacobs's guard.
Jacobs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jacobs wants to pass the guard but Changa is defending well.
Changa pushes Jacobs off looking to stand but Jacobs dives back in and keeps control.

Changa has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Adam Jacobs wasn't active enough on the ground.
Changa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jacobs sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Changa somewhat.
Changa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jacobs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Changa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Changa will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jacobs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Changa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jacobs somewhat.

Jacobs fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Changa, pushing him back against the cage.
Jacobs is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Changa manages to pull guard.

Changa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Changa is trying to keep Jacobs in close.

Jacobs is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Changa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Changa tries to get out of the position.
Changa wants to control but Jacobs is keeping busy.

Changa kicks off Jacobs and gets to his feet.

Jacobs keeps the fight on the outside.
Changa fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Changa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jacobs avoids it really well and circles away.

Changa goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Jacobs manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Changa on his heels. He'll look to pass Changa's guard now, I'm sure.

Jacobs stands and steps away. Changa gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jacobs scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Changa throws a head kick that misses.
Changa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jimmy Changa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Jacobs.

Changa gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Jacobs gets underhooks to prevent Changa's takedown attempt.

Jacobs jumps guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jacobs is trying to hold Changa in close to prevent damage but Changa has managed to pass into half guard.

Changa postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jacobs to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jimmy Changa will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Changa throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Changa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jacobs.

Jacobs takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Changa wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jacobs prevents Changa from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Adam Jacobs.
Jacobs tries to clinch but Changa is having none of it.
Jacobs bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Horrible takedown by Changa or perhaps it was just good defense by Jacobs which made him look bad.
No luck for Jacobs with that takedown attempt.

Jacobs isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Changa stacks Jacobs on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Changa!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jacobs tries to bench press Changa off him but Changa keeps the position.
Changa tries to advance to mount but can't.

Changa decides to stand back up. Changa steps back and let's Jacobs get back to his feet.
Changa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Changa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jacobs, pushing him back against the cage.

Jacobs gets underhooks to prevent Changa's takedown attempt.
Changa prevents the takedown attempt.
Jimmy Changa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Jacobs.
Changa manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Jacobs tries to break the clinch but Changa is controlling the position.
Changa stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Jacobs jumps guard but Changa stands there with Jacobs around his waist. Jacobs gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Well Changa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
