Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nissin Miojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Brawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brawler has chosen Simple Man by Downsiid as his entrance music. Nissin Miojo is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nissin Miojo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Brawler! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brawler shoots and misses and Miojo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brawler won't be happy with that. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Miojo controls the position. Brawler wants to control but Miojo postures up. Miojo throws an elbow but Brawler slips to the side and avoids it well. The referee asks Miojo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Miojo prefers to stall for the moment though. Miojo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Miojo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Brawler dodges the ground and pound from Miojo. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miojo trying to control the position but Brawler is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miojo in side control, just content to control the action for now. Sloppy strikes there by Miojo. Brawler is looking to regain half guard here but Miojo keeps moving and retains side control. Miojo happy to just control the position for now. Miojo grinds an elbow into Brawler's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brawler is letting Miojo control him for a moment. Brawler wants to control but Miojo postures up. Miojo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Brawler's shoulder. That is not cool. Miojo scores with a couple of short elbows. Miojo is putting a hurting on Brawler here, landing some big shots from side control. Miojo lands a decent elbow from side control. This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Miojo cracks Brawler with a big elbow. Brawler seems a little lost for a moment, as Miojo dominates the positioning. Miojo is working Brawler over with some ground and pound from side control. Brawler wants to control but Miojo postures up. Miojo controlling the position from side mount. Brawler is trying to control Miojo's posture but Miojo avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miojo trying to control the action but Brawler is working from the bottom. Miojo grinds an elbow into Brawler's temple. Brawler avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Miojo. Miojo working the ground and pound from side control. Miojo takes a little break here. Brawler wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Miojo scoring with punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miojo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Miojo controlling the position from side mount. Miojo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brawler for as long as he can get away with. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brawler is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Miojo creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miojo working the ground and pound from side control. Miojo cracks Brawler with a big right hand but Brawler just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Miojo is staying tight to Brawler's torso, preventing him from escaping. Miojo scoring with punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nissin Miojo dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Brawler gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Miojo to score an easy takedown into full guard. Miojo is looking to work some ground and pound but Brawler has wrist control. Miojo is working Brawler over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Miojo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Nissin Miojo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miojo stays in close to Brawler's body and controls the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Nissin Miojo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Miojo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Miojo lands in his opponent's guard. Miojo postures up in Brawler's guard and throws a big left but Brawler blocks it. Miojo is stalling in the full guard. Miojo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miojo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Miojo cracks Brawler with a solid left hand. Miojo stays in close to Brawler's body and controls the position. Brawler is trying to keep Miojo in close.

Miojo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Miojo trying to control the position from guard on top but Brawler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Brawler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Miojo. Miojo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The ref stands the fighters back up because Nissin Miojo just wasn't active enough. Brawler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miojo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Miojo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brawler's guard. Miojo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Miojo's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Miojo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Miojo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Miojo connects with a nice short shot to Brawler's temple. Miojo missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Miojo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brawler's head. Miojo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Miojo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Still in half guard, Miojo seems content to control. Miojo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Brawler is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Miojo scores with a couple of nice shots. Miojo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Miojo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Miojo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Nissin Miojo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Miojo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miojo looks up at the clock and then as Brawler takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Miojo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
