PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mathias Falcao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scrooge McDuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falcao's entrance music is Orgasmatron. A fine choice. McDuck is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Scrooge McDuck. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scrooge McDuck!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from McDuck.
Falcao misses with a two punch combination.
Horrible takedown by McDuck or perhaps it was just good defense by Falcao which made him look bad.
McDuck takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Falcao looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

McDuck drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
McDuck postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Falcao looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

McDuck wants to control from the top but Falcao keeps moving.

Falcao lands a really nice looking cross but McDuck seems unphased.
McDuck fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Falcao avoids it really well and circles away.

McDuck shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Falcao pinned against the cage. Falcao gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mathias Falcao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scrooge McDuck.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Falcao is on top in guard.

Scrooge McDuck has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
McDuck wants to slow Falcao down by chopping away at his legs.

Falcao gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McDuck to score an easy takedown into full guard.

McDuck tries to free his leg and advance position but Falcao is retaining full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McDuck is fighting to break Falcao's control of his arms but Falcao is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Falcao wants to sweep but no luck.

A close round but Scrooge McDuck will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Falcao throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Falcao uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McDuck.
A looping hook to the body misses from Falcao. McDuck does a little dance to reset his feet.
McDuck dodges the punch combination from Falcao.
Falcao misses with a looping left.
McDuck shoots in looking for a takedown but Falcao manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McDuck's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Scrooge McDuck is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice sprawl there from Falcao as McDuck shoots in.
Falcao dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McDuck throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Falcao's waist but Falcao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McDuck off to one side.
Mathias Falcao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scrooge McDuck.
Falcao connects with a single shot there.
No luck for McDuck with that takedown attempt.
Falcao throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Falcao lands with an uppercut that bounces McDuck off the cage and back into range.
McDuck shoots in for a takedown but Falcao shows good takedown defense.

McDuck is breathing heavily.

Falcao got a little sloppy there for a moment and McDuck has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Falcao has managed to get both his arms back between McDuck's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McDuck keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Falcao's head.

Falcao wants to hit a switch here but McDuck passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Falcao there!

McDuck cracks Falcao with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Oh Falcao is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oooooh, big shot lands for McDuck! Falcao is hurt baaadly! McDuck is firing away with more strikes - Falcao is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
