The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes tries a head kick but it misses.
Conteh is looking to clinch.
Barnes thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Conteh if he has to take too many more of those.
Conteh fails in his attempt to clinch.
Barnes looks to land a combination. Conteh sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like John Conteh has been cut.

Conteh has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Conteh there as he acknowledges the shot.

Conteh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Barnes sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Barnes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Conteh tries to clinch up but Barnes circles away and keeps his distance.
Barnes lands a big head kick that sends Conteh tumbling to the mat! Barnes takes a step backwards and waves Conteh back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barnes throws a looping overhand right but Conteh ducks down to avoid it.
Barnes tries to land a front kick but Conteh steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Barnes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Conteh stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Barnes.

Barnes works the jab nicely.
Conteh gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Barnes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Conteh fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Conteh prevents Barnes from breaking the clinch.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Conteh.
Barnes can't break the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barnes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barnes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barnes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Conteh moves away.
Barnes throws out a leg kick but Conteh moves out of range and Barnes only half commits.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nate Barnes dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Barnes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Conteh changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Conteh slips a jab and a cross from Barnes.
A bone on bone clash there as Conteh blocks the leg kick.
Barnes throws a leg kick which misses Conteh's front leg but catches the back leg as Conteh tries to avoid it.
Barnes throws a looping overhand right but Conteh ducks down to avoid it.

Conteh rushes Barnes and presses him up against the cage.

Barnes wants to get back to striking at distance but Conteh won't allow it.
Barnes is looking to break free of the clinch but Conteh has double underhooks.
Barnes tries to circle away but Conteh has him pinned against the cage.
Barnes on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Barnes wants to break free but Conteh has control.
Conteh lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Conteh has Barnes pressed against the cage, preventing Barnes from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

The referee is keeping an eye on Conteh - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Conteh lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Barnes's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Barnes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Conteh struggles to land a body shot inside as Barnes controls his hands.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Conteh takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Conteh lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Conteh looking to throw knees to the head but Barnes is blocking nicely.
Conteh's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Oh Barnes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barnes wants to stall.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Conteh pushes Barnes back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Come on Conteh - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Conteh working the clinch nicely. Barnes is working for position but Conteh cracks him with a big knee to the head! Barnes crumples up against the cage and Conteh lands two more shots before the ref can save Barnes! This one is all over!
