Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Codeywade Fabinal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Codeywade Fabinal looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Codeywade Fabinal! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Fabinal does no damage. Codeywade Fabinal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee tries for a takedown but Fabinal sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sloppy strikes from Fabinal. Those never looked like landing. Fabinal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fabinal throws a right and a left that both miss. Fabinal looks gassed! Lee moves into the clinch. Lee drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fabinal is looking to break free of the clinch but Lee has double underhooks. Lee slowing the pace effectively. Fabinal looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lee putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Fabinal in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Lee tries to score a body lock takedown but Fabinal shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fabinal avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. We're back to striking at a distance. Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Fabinal sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fabinal throws a right and a left that both miss. Fabinal misses with a jab, cross combination.

Fabinal leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fabinal throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Fabinal misses with a few strikes there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lee. Lee feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fabinal's calf. Fabinal stuffs the takedown. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Fabinal!
Fabinal throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Lee shoots in but no luck this time. Lee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fabinal sprawls well. Fabinal wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No luck for Lee with that takedown attempt. Fabinal misses with a wild combination.

Lee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fabinal is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Fabinal is trying to break free. Fabinal is trying to break free. Lee fails to pull guard.
Fabinal wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lee has him pressed against the cage. Lee's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lee misses with a takedown attempt - Fabinal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. An inside leg kick from Lee misses. Fabinal misses with a two punch combination.
Fabinal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Fabinal throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease. Fabinal throws a right and a left that Lee avoids nicely. Lee pushes Fabinal up against the cage in a clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fabinal working hard to break the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fabinal tries to circle away but Lee has him pinned against the cage. Lee will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Fabinal up against the cage. Fabinal is trying to push Lee away but Lee has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Steve Lee will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lee is controlling Fabinal's posture. Fabinal wants to stand but Lee has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fabinal gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Fabinal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fabinal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fabinal is looking to break free of the clinch but Lee has double underhooks. Lee breaks the clinch.
