PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Garett Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cheater ZuD (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potter comes to the cage accompanied by Ju Jitsu. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but ZuD swivels and escapes.

Potter drives through with a takedown into ZuD's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

ZuD tries a head kick but it misses.
A slapping body kick lands there for ZuD.
ZuD throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Potter crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from ZuD - the referee stops the clock and Potter gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says ZuD. Potter manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

ZuD wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
ZuD fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Potter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

ZuD is looking for a sweep. Potter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Potter moves out of range of the body kick.
Potter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around ZuD's waist but ZuD gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Potter off to one side.
ZuD pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Potter shoots in for a takedown but ZuD shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

ZuD wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Potter takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

ZuD fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Potter has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cheater ZuD seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Potter tries to close the distance and clinch up but ZuD swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Potter is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Potter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. ZuD tries to avoid it but Potter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag ZuD to the ground. ZuD escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Potter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but ZuD manages to avoid it.
