Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johua Nashigon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nashigon comes to the cage accompanied by Live my life. Jones has chosen Let The Bodies Hit The Floor as his entrance music. Nashigon has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch up.
Jones has a takedown stuffed.
Jones lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nashigon.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Nashigon, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Nashigon against the cage but Nashigon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nashigon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Nashigon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
Johua Nashigon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Jones.

and Nashigon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jones won't be happy with that.

Nashigon unloads with some shots from mount but Jones bucks and avoids them well.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Nashigon's attempts to control the action.

Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Nashigon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jones wants to get back to his feet but Nashigon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Nashigon wants to stand and escape but instead Jones has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Nashigon is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Nashigon tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Nashigon drops back down to his feet.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nashigon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.

Nashigon closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nashigon gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jones regains guard.

Nashigon gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nashigon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nashigon off to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jones takes the fight into the clinch.
Nashigon is looking for a takedown.

Nashigon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Nashigon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Nashigon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get!
Nashigon swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Nashigon in a clinch.

Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nashigon smiles and moves away.

Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Nashigon has Jones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Jones manages to pull guard.
Jones is pulling down on Nashigon's head. It's preventing any offense from Nashigon, at least for the moment.

Nashigon shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jones tries to pull guard but Nashigon forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jones tries to score a body lock takedown but Nashigon shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Nashigon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jones is trying to drag Nashigon to the mat but Nashigon just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Nashigon pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joseph Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nashigon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nashigon's back!

Jones is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Nashigon is defending well though. Jones let's go of the attempt for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nashigon stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
