Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Khgerty Godo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Massive Destruction (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Khgerty Godo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Khgerty Godo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Massive Destruction! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Destruction looks to land a left hand but Godo moved out of range nicely. Destruction gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Destruction takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Destruction takes a shot right to the bread basket. Godo swings and misses with a shot to the body and Destruction counters with a left and a right that stings Godo. Godo stuffs the takedown. Destruction misses with a lunging right hand
and Godo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Godo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Godo darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Destruction misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Destruction drives through and clinches with Godo against the cage.

Godo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Khgerty Godo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Massive Destruction. Godo has Destruction pushed against the cage. Godo digs a right hand underneath Destruction's ribcage. Destruction let out a lung full of air as it connected. Godo lands a knee to the body.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Godo. Godo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Destruction wants a takedown but no success here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Destruction drops down looking for an ankle pick but Godo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Godo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Destruction sees it coming and avoids it easily. Destruction fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Godo stuffs the takedown attempt from Destruction. Destruction gets slowly back to his feet. Destruction misses with a takedown attempt - Godo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Destruction shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Godo pinned against the cage. Godo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Destruction is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Godo's half guard. Destruction looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Destruction thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Destruction throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Godo is trying to stand back up but Destruction is controlling him
Destruction trying to mount his opponent but Godo defends it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Godo is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Khgerty Godo dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
No luck for Destruction with that takedown attempt. Destruction tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Godo swivels and escapes. Destruction closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Godo to the mat! Godo manages to get full guard. Godo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Destruction throws an elbow that misses. Godo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Destruction's guard. Nice move by Godo! Destruction looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Godo passes into side control.
Destruction can't do much from the bottom here. Destruction is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Godo off and has taken his back! Destruction is working the ground and pound. Can Godo escape? Destruction throwing strikes and Godo squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted. Godo wants to hold on but Destruction pushes him away. Destruction with shots to the head and body - Godo looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Godo avoids a series of strikes thrown by Destruction.
Destruction punching from mount but Godo doing a good job of avoiding damage. Destruction throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Godo blocking the ground and pound. Destruction raining down hammerfists from mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Poor strikes thrown by Destruction there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Destruction throwing strikes here but Godo is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Destruction sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Destruction is landing with some decent strikes but Godo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Destruction cracks Godo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Massive Destruction has got the better of the ground game so far. Godo avoids a series of strikes thrown by Destruction.
Godo wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Destruction.
Destruction has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Godo blocking the ground and pound. Destruction looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Destruction throwing strikes but Godo bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Godo postures up.
Destruction is looking for a triangle here but Godo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Destruction is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Godo is staying active. Destruction tries to bench press Godo off him but Godo keeps the position. Destruction is being controlled here. This has been an exciting period of action! Destruction tries to buck Godo off but Godo is having none of it. Destruction is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Destruction looking for a sweep but Godo has passed into full mount! Oh no! Destruction wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Massive Destruction showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Destruction ducks under a wild hook from Godo. A swing and a miss from Destruction. Nice takedown defense from Godo. No joy for Destruction on that attempt. Khgerty Godo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Godo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Destruction on the side of the head. Godo jabs Destruction to the body, keeping him at a distance. Oooooh!!! Godo has knocked Destruction down with a huge combo! Godo steps away and waves a wobbly Destruction back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Destruction is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Godo cracks Destruction with a hook to the temple - Destruction is on wobbly legs here! Godo swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Destruction falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Godo wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Khgerty Godo! Khgerty Godo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
