Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kisame Hoshigaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnaud Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kisame Hoshigaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arnaud Rio! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoshigaki checks the leg kick nicely there.
Hoshigaki stuffs the takedown. Hoshigaki rushes Rio and presses him up against the cage. Rio wants a takedown.

Hoshigaki is defending well against a takedown attempt. Kisame Hoshigaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arnaud Rio. Rio jumps into guard, dragging Hoshigaki to the mat.

Hoshigakiis looking to pass into half guard but Rio pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rio is in guard. Hoshigaki seems keen to control Rio's posture. Hoshigaki on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hoshigaki tries to get out of the position. Hoshigaki looking to control.
Rio postures up in Hoshigaki's guard and throws a big left but Hoshigaki blocks it. Hoshigaki wants to stand up but Rio is controlling him. Rio postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rio sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hoshigaki wants to sweep here but Rio controlling him for the moment. Rio sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hoshigaki's guard. Hoshigaki is not content to let Rio control the position. Rio slips a nice elbow through Hoshigaki's hands, connecting with Hoshigaki's forehead. Rio missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoshigaki wants to get back to full guard. Rio takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Rio controlling the action here. Rio landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Rio working the head and body with strikes. Rio wants to work for an arm triangle but Hoshigaki is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hoshigaki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rio on the ground. Rio decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Hoshigaki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hoshigaki shoots for a takedown but Rio saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Hoshigaki shoots in for a double leg but Rio sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hoshigaki is breathing heavily. Hoshigaki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The fight stays on the outside here - Rio looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nice takedown defense from Rio. No joy for Hoshigaki on that attempt. Hoshigaki gets tackled into the cage by Rio. Rio maintains the clinch. Hoshigaki is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rio gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hoshigaki is trying to pull guard but Rio has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kisame Hoshigaki. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hoshigaki tries for a takedown but Rio manages to get underhooks.

The fighters roll with the hold and Hoshigaki manages to kick Rio off! Rio jumps back into Hoshigaki's guard. Hoshigaki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rio is controlling him. Arnaud Rio has got the better of the ground game so far.

Rio trying to control but Hoshigaki is working from the bottom. Hoshigaki is trying to keep Rio in close.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rio stopping the sweep attempt from Hoshigaki. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Arnaud Rio will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Hoshigaki lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hoshigaki cracks Rio with a solid left hand. Rio avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rio is trying to keep Hoshigaki in close.
Hoshigaki throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoshigaki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rio has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hoshigaki has managed to get both his arms back between Rio's legs - danger averted. Rio not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Hoshigaki wants to sweep but no luck.
Arnaud Rio has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hoshigaki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rio's waist but Rio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hoshigaki off to one side. Rio doesn't manage to clinch there - Hoshigaki circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoshigaki looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Rio scores with a nice shot. Rio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hoshigaki manages to get himself to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Arnaud Rio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rio has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
