Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tug Speedman! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker moves away from the strike by Speedman. Speedman darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Parker doesn't manage to clinch there - Speedman circles away.
Speedman tries to bum rush Parker with a series of wild strikes but Parker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Parker tries to clinch there but Speedman circles away.
Speedman stuffs the takedown. Parker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Parker drops his hands momentarily and Speedman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Parker avoids the body shot from Speedman.
Speedman thuds his right hand into Parker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Speedman misses with a looping right. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Speedman misses with a body shot.
Parker shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Speedman is trying to defend but Parker finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Parker not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Speedman is not content to let Parker control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Parker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Parker trying to pass the guard but Speedman defending well. Parker thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Speedman's head. Speedman is staying active underneath Parker, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Parker tries to pass to full mount but Speedman defends it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Parker tries to close the distance and clinch but Speedman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A telegraphed right hand from Speedman misses the target. Speedman lunges at Parker with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Parker's hand. Parker on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Parker takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Speedman has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Speedman dips to his left and cracks Parker with an uppercut! Nice body punch from Speedman. Speedman looks to score with a jab to the body but Parker is just out of range. Speedman walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Speedman swings for the body but Parker moves out of range.

Speedman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tug Speedman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Parker misses the jab. Speedman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Parker manages to avoid it. Speedman waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Parker. Speedman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Speedman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parker.

Parker drives through with a takedown into Speedman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. This has been an exciting period of action! Parker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Speedman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Parker works over Speedman with some ground and pound from guard. Parker trying to control the position from guard on top but Speedman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Parker postures up in Speedman's guard and throws a big left but Speedman blocks it. Parker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Parker is in close to Speedman's body, working some short punches and elbows. Speedman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Parker wants to control from the top but Speedman keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parker controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Speedman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Parker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Frank Parker! After the fight, Frank Parker was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
