Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George DeLuca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maksim Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeLuca comes to the cage accompanied by Crying like a Bitch. Romanov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by hollywood undead- undead. Maksim Romanov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with George DeLuca's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romanov fails with the takedown.
DeLuca tries to clinch up

and Romanov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now DeLuca is on top in guard.
Romanov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
DeLuca is looking to work some ground and pound but Romanov has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
DeLuca chips away with some ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
DeLuca throws a strike but Romanov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
DeLuca controls Romanov momentarily but Romanov frees himself.

DeLuca throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Romanov escapes and throws DeLuca's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Romanov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
DeLuca tries to get back to half guard but can't.
DeLuca on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Romanov tries to advance to mount but can't.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Romanov has knee on belly and moves into mount.
DeLuca tries to lock up and control but Romanov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

DeLuca is desperately trying to improve his position but Romanov has a good base and remains in mount.

Romanov lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

DeLuca gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
DeLuca will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Romanov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Romanov passes DeLuca's left leg - he's now in half guard.
DeLuca won't allow Romanov to pass to mount.

DeLuca throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Romanov manages to pass to side control.

Romanov takes a little break here. DeLuca wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Maksim Romanov wasn't active enough on the ground.

DeLuca gets caught flat footed, as Romanov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Let's hope that Romanov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Romanov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DeLuca's waist but DeLuca gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Romanov off to one side.
Romanov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but DeLuca avoids it really well and circles away.

Romanov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming DeLuca to the mat! DeLuca manages to get full guard.
Romanov wants to control from the top but DeLuca keeps moving.

Romanov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. DeLuca swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Romanov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DeLuca's waist but DeLuca gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Romanov off to one side.
George DeLuca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maksim Romanov.

Romanov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
DeLuca tries a knee to the head but Romanov blocks it.

Romanov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed DeLuca clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
DeLuca can't escape the position.
Romanov is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Maksim Romanov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Well Romanov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
