4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideo Kyoyama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoshi Kajiwara! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kajiwara fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kyoyama blocks a head kick by Kajiwara.
Kajiwara misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kyoyama manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kajiwara on his heels. He'll look to pass Kajiwara's guard now, I'm sure. Kajiwara wants to get back to his feet but Kyoyama is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kajiwara looking for a guillotine here but Kyoyama defends easily.
Kyoyama keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kajiwara's head. Kyoyama working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kajiwara's head. Kyoyama is looking to work some ground and pound but Kajiwara has wrist control. Kajiwara preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kyoyama works over Kajiwara with some ground and pound from guard. Kyoyama content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kyoyama throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kajiwara works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kajiwara tries to clinch but Kyoyama is having none of it. Kyoyama fails with a takedown attempt. Kajiwara lands a high kick!
It looks like Hideo Kyoyama has been cut. Kajiwara gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kyoyama counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kajiwara wants to get back to his feet. Kyoyama is looking to advance position but Kajiwara won't allow it. Kyoyama stops Kajiwara from getting back to his feet.
Kyoyama is trying to control. Kajiwara wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kajiwara makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Kyoyama's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kajiwara connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kyoyama scrambles back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kajiwara misses with a hook. Kajiwara shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kyoyama defends it nicely. Hideo Kyoyama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Satoshi Kajiwara. Kajiwara pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kajiwara looks for the body kick but Kyoyama saw that one coming. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kyoyama is trying to drag Kajiwara to the mat but Kajiwara just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kajiwara has had enough of the clinch but Kyoyama keeps him there for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kajiwara tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kajiwara has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kyoyama uses from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kajiwara not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kajiwara working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kyoyama. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kyoyama wants to pass the guard but Kajiwara is keeping the position. Kajiwara is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kyoyama avoids the head kick by Kajiwara.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Satoshi Kajiwara dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hideo Kyoyama's cut. That's time! Back to the action!

Kajiwara stands up from guard. Let's bang! Kajiwara tries to clinch up. Kajiwara pushes Kyoyama away with a front kick. A head kick misses from Kajiwara. Kyoyama is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Kajiwara doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Kyoyama crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Kyoyama's bad books for that mishap!
