Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Yuudai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jutta Urpilainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Urpilainen's choice of entrance music: A Boy Named Sue by Johnny Cash. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeshi Yuudai! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jutta Urpilainen! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yuudai leaves Urpilainen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jutta Urpilainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck for Urpilainen with that takedown attempt. Yuudai forces Urpilainen back against the cage and clinches. Yuudai pushes off an throws an elbow but Urpilainen leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Yuudai manages to break the clinch.
Urpilainen wants to clinch. Urpilainen fails with a takedown attempt. Takeshi Yuudai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jutta Urpilainen. A leg kick checked by Urpilainen. Urpilainen looking to score a takedown here. Yuudai is defending well but Urpilainen drives through and ends up in Yuudai's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Urpilainen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Urpilainen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Yuudai wants to sweep here but Urpilainen controlling him for the moment. Urpilainen is desperately trying to improve his position but Yuudai has a good base and remains in mount. Urpilainen wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Yuudai has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Urpilainen. Urpilainen fending off the submission attempt from Yuudai. Yuudai controlling well, preventing Urpilainen from escaping the position.

Yuudai is looking for the choke from the back position but Urpilainen is controlling his hands well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Urpilainen manages to reverse the position and now he's in Yuudai's guard. Nice work there by Urpilainen.

Yuudai is pulling down on Urpilainen's head to control his posture. Urpilainen sitting in guard, not really doing much. Urpilainen trying to control the position from guard on top but Yuudai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Urpilainen shoots for a double leg takedown but Yuudai sprawls well. He's pushed Urpilainen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yuudai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Urpilainen circles away quickly and effectively. Urpilainen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Yuudai. A looping hook to the body misses from Yuudai. Urpilainen does a little dance to reset his feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Yuudai struggles to land a body shot inside as Urpilainen controls his hands.

Urpilainen decides to pull guard. Yuudai wants to control from the top but Urpilainen keeps moving. Yuudai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Urpilainen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yuudai has managed to get both his arms back between Urpilainen's legs - danger averted. Urpilainen keeping full guard, as Yuudai tries to pass. Urpilainen wants to sweep here but Yuudai controlling him for the moment. Yuudai works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Urpilainen wants to get back to full guard. Yuudai slips a nice elbow through Urpilainen's hands, connecting with Urpilainen's forehead. Yuudai looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yuudai is working hard here to advance position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Urpilainen looking for subs from the bottom but Yuudai mounts him! Urpilainen is looking to get to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yuudai is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Urpilainen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Yuudai is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Urpilainen has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Yuudai throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Urpilainen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Yuudai is in Urpilainen's guard. Yuudai stopping the sweep attempt from Urpilainen. Yuudai wants to control from the top but Urpilainen keeps moving. Urpilainen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Urpilainen holds on and takes a little breather. Takeshi Yuudai overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Urpilainen keeping full guard, as Yuudai tries to pass. Yuudai throws an elbow that misses. Urpilainen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Yuudai's guard. Nice move by Urpilainen! Yuudai pulls Urpilainen in to control the position.

Urpilainen wants to pass the guard but Yuudai is keeping the position. Yuudai looking to hit a scissor sweep but Urpilainen is one step ahead there. Yuudai had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Urpilainen defends it easily. Yuudai preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Urpilainen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Yuudai's head.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jutta Urpilainen. Yuudai fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Urpilainen checks it well. This has been an exciting period of action! Urpilainen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

It looks like Jutta Urpilainen has been cut. Urpilainen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Yuudai not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Yuudai around the waist but Yuudai pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Yuudai is the winner by TKO! Yuudai jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeshi Yuudai! Takeshi Yuudai is the new lightweight champion! Takeshi Yuudai really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Syndicate Nutrition (DUS) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
