Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maynard bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Goa's head backwards.
Maynard throws a predictable looking body shot
and Goa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Maynard won't be happy with that.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Goa looks up at the clock and then as Maynard takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Goa smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Goa lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Maynard down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goa looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Maynard covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

After the fight, Goa Goa was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
