The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magnus stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Doon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Magnus lands with a shot to the body.
Doon throws a half hearted mid kick.
Magnus jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Magnus scores with a nice right hand.
Doon throws a low kick but it's checked well by Magnus.
Doon blocks a jab.
Doon shoots in for a double leg but Magnus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Magnus takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Magnus defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Doon.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Loan Doon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Magnus.
Magnus lands a jab.
Doon shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Doon is nestled in close to Magnus, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Doon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Magnus is still in real trouble! Can Doon finish him?

Doon postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Magnus bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Doon and the fight is over!
