Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sylar Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shigeo Miyato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gray comes into the arena with Saving me blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sylar Gray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Shigeo Miyato! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miyato shoots in for a takedown but Gray shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Gray takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gray misses with a straight right. Miyato feints and as Gray raises his hands in defense, Miyato changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gray is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Miyato thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Miyato advances position into side control! Miyato is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gray knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Miyato goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gray has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Miyato but great work by Gray.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gray staying calm. Miyato is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Miyato gets full guard. Miyato working for a triangle but Gray defends it easily.
Gray wants to control from the top but Miyato keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miyato is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Miyato is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gray is just riding it out for now. Miyato eventually gives up the hold. Miyato is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Miyato wants to work for an arm triangle but Gray is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miyato is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gray! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miyato is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gray can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Miyato goes for an armbar but Gray turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Gray. Miyato is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Miyato looking for a guillotine here but Gray defends easily.
Miyato working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Gray has passed into half guard!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Miyato wants to get back to full guard but Gray has mounted him! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Miyato keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gray controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shigeo Miyato dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Gray throws a body punch but Miyato moves out of range. Horrible takedown by Miyato or perhaps it was just good defense by Gray which made him look bad. Sylar Gray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gray is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Miyato. Gray throws out a loose jab but Miyato uses good head movement to avoid it. Gray throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Gray feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Miyatos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Shigeo Miyato has been cut. Gray jabbing away but nothing is landing. Gray swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gray fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Miyato manages to avoid it. Nice defenses there by Miyato. Miyato takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gray misses with a low kick. Gray works Miyato's body with a nice hook. Good work by Miyato as he checks the leg kick. Gray connects with the punch. Sylar Gray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Miyato ducks under a wild hook from Gray. Gray misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gray rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miyato moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gray waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Miyato. Miyato goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Miyato gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A lazy left from Gray finds it's target. Miyato slips under a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miyato looks for a takedown but Gray sprawls well. An inside leg kick from Gray misses. Miyato throws a quick inside leg kick. Gray throws a leg kick and Miyato counters with an inside leg kick. Gray missing with a left hand there. Miyato was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Miyato displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gray throws out the jab. Gray loads up on a big right hand but Miyato slips the punch. Gray connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Gray throws out a powerful jab.
Miyato is rocked!
That has opened up Shigeo Miyato's cut even more. Gray goes for a small jab and connects. Now Gray goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Miyato stumbles back but Gray runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Miyato to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Miyato will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sylar Gray! Our winner, Sylar Gray, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
