Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Waldemar Moura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Takeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeda is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fort Minor-Kenji. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Waldemar Moura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Takeda! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Takeda, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Takeda ducks under a wild hook from Moura. Takeda fails with an attempt to clinch.
A combination from Moura does no damage. Takeda keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Moura. Shinji Takeda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moura throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Takeda sees it coming and avoids it easily. Moura misses the jab. Horrible takedown by Takeda or perhaps it was just good defense by Moura which made him look bad. Takeda ducks under a wild hook from Moura. Takeda on the wrong end of a nice hook. Takeda shoots in looking for a takedown but Moura manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Takeda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Moura keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Waldemar Moura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinji Takeda. Moura throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Takeda.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Moura as he connects with a hook. Takeda shoots in looking for a takedown but Moura manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Takeda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Takeda moves into the clinch. Moura stops a takedown attempt from Takeda.
Moura breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Moura cracks Takeda with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Takeda looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Moura finish him?
It looks like Shinji Takeda has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moura throws a lazy right hand but Takeda sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Moura feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Takeda sprawling to the canvas! Takeda rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Moura finish him?!
Takeda is rocked! Takeda is trying desperately to land a takedown but Moura is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Takeda. Takeda tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moura swivels and escapes. Takeda looks gassed! Moura misses with an uppercut. Takeda saw that one coming. Are you kidding me?! Moura ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Takeda clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Waldemar Moura! Waldemar Moura was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
